HOW TO: Disable The x "Delete' next to the FLAG in the message list... (OUTLOOK 2016)

As this is the default setting in 2016 by MS the only workaround to remove so you won't accidentally  delete a message when you want to mark the flag do below

1. At the top left corner click the button next to the undo arrow as shown below
2. Click/select the Touch/Mouse Mode option.
3. Then a new icon with a hand will appear. Click on it and select the TOUCH option.
4. Now the x next to the flag is gone.





If you prefer the original setting just disable by reversing steps…
