Windows Server 2012 R2: How to remove installed features (grayed out)

Please follow below steps:

1. Start Server Manager
2. Click on the TOP RIGHT corner the word "Manage"
3. Select "Remove Roles and Features"

No find the installed feature you want to remove and deselect it.

Frustrating but simple...
