SD or USB Format Failed: Write Protected after Image Flashing (Erase a write-protected SD Card or a USB drive)

Very frustrating when happened after flashing the chameleon img file to my brand new SD Card.

Sometimes windows will give you this error even though there is no switch on your card to lock - unlock.

What you need to do is to simply follow below steps and allow the SD card to be eraseble again!

1. Remove your card from the machine
2. Open your registry and go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\
3. If you have this Key StorageDevicePolicies go to next step. If not then create a new KEY with exact name StorageDevicePolicies. Then create in it a new DWORD entry rename it to WriteProtect 
4. The WriteProtect should have now a value 0
5. Click save to save your registry 
6. Insert your SD or KEY in again and format using a tool like SDFormatter and in options select QUICK and FORMAT SIZE ADJUSTMENT to ON so it can give you back the complete original size!
