Windows 10: Media Creation Tool Fix to Display Edition Selection

As many of you got confused with not being able to select which version of Windows 10 to install during your fresh installation, I d like to share a quick solution. 

Some advised to change the key which will allow your home edition to be upgraded to PRO and then enter your PRO key.

Why not do it straight from the beginning?

I m sure you have noticed since last Nov the latest tool downloads the ISO (and now the latest great Creators Edition) but defaults installation to HOME Edition with no selection unless you are installing Windows 10 on a new PC or on a PC without the embedded product key, it displays the prompt asking you to select the edition of Windows 10 that you would like to install.

NOTE:

... the setup automatically checks your BIOS/UEFI for an embedded product key (if exists), and installs the version based on what found. 

FIX:

1. Create a new txt file.

2. Copy below lines in it...

[Channel]

_Default

[VL]

0

3. Save and rename to ei.cfg

4. Copy it to your USB inside the "sources" folder

 Done. Now you can select any version you wish with your official key
